You can give Audible as a gift by choosing between 1-, 3-, 6-, and 12-month plans for friends or family members. Your recipient will receive all membership benefits while on their gift membership and will keep any books purchased with a credit or credit card, even after the gift membership ends.

Audible accepts all Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards. If you receive a credit card error, please ensure that the default payment on file with your account is current and reattempt your purchase.

Note: Even after the gift membership ends, the recipient can still buy books a la cart with their credit card.

How do I purchase a gift membership from Audible?

You can gift an Audible subscription following these steps:

1. Go to the Gift center.
2. Select which gift membership you would like to give.
3. Enter information about the gift on the next page. After you’re done, select Continue.
4. Pick a card from the next page to go with your gift, then select Continue.
5. If you haven’t signed in with your Amazon account you will be prompted to.
6. Select Buy Now for $X.XX to complete your purchase.

Can I redeem a gift membership if I’m already a member?

Yes. Instead of being enrolled into the gift membership plan, you’ll receive all the credits you would have received during your gift membership all at once. The gift membership you redeem doesn’t replace your current membership or extend your current gift membership. If you’re on a paid monthly or annual membership plan, you’ll still be charged on your next billing date.

What happens after the membership ends?

Once a gift membership ends, the recipient will not be charged for an Audible membership plan. They may enroll in a plan at any time from their Account Details page.

Do gift membership credits expire?

Credits provided as part of a gift membership expire 12 months after each is issued. 

How many gift purchases can I purchase?

No more than $1,000.00 in Audible gift memberships can be purchased in a single transaction. However, there is no overall limit to the amount of gifts you can purchase.

For example, you can purchase $1,000.00 in Audible gift memberships through one transaction. After that transaction is complete, you can purchase more gift memberships through another transaction.
